Marvel: War of Heroes suits up for iOS and Android on October 11th

Marvel's superheroes never seem to get a day off, and they'll be battling evil once again on October 11th with the release of Marvel: War of Heroes for Android and iOS.

As we suspected, this new Marvel-based game is a card battler in which you will collect hundreds of different heroes and villains, including current favourites Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk. New cards will be added to the game on a regular basis.

As with the insanely popular card game Rage of Bahamut, Japanese company Cygames is on developmental duties for Marvel: War of Heroes.

And as with Rage of Bahamut, Marvel: War of Heroes will plug into DeNA's cross-platform Mobage gaming network.

As for Marvel: War of Heroes's gameplay, you can expect a few fun extra mechanics, such as additional powers that are unlocked when certain heroes are paired together, and a full storyline that will be expanded upon via post-launch events and content.

Furthermore, each playing card features new character art from Marvel artists, while eager players can visit the game's website to get hold of a free Black Widow card before launch.
