Madden NFL 10 kicking off on iPhone in September

iPhone version delayed until next month

Product: Madden NFL 10 (iPhone) | Publisher: EA Mobile | Genre: Sports
Tucked away in today's triumphant announcement that Madden NFL 10 has shipped on every system under the sun was the revelation that the iPhone version has been delayed until September.

Without providing a reason, EA Mobile pegged the touch-enabled version of the seminal football game for release on the App Store next month.

When prompted for comment, a representative for EA Mobile responded, "Right now we have no news to share on Madden. We'll let you know when we have more information."

As of today, EA Mobile has yet to release concrete details on the game, let alone any screenshots. We're hoping the iPhone version is an iteration on the game's PSP outing married to an inventive touch control scheme.

We won't know until September, though, since EA Mobile is keeping details on this big name game under a tighter lock down than Michael Vick.

I believe that they've delayed their launch of the iphone version due to Gameloft's NFL 2010 app. This is just my opinion but I bet EA didn't realize how bad their version in comparison and instead of embarrassing themselves, they've decided to hold off on the release and tweak it some more to make it more comparable. It would be the only decent reason I could think of. Any other guesses?

ppl like "IPHONETEAm" should be banned from posting links to the pirated versions of games or at least all such comments should be deleted by the moderator. Or else soon pocket gamer will become the fav site for all these azoles and the zombies that visit only for similar links.

IPHONETEAM - You're a tw*t. If people don't buy games then they won't get made. There's your reason.

The people making these games aren't huge companies but generally teams of 2 to 3 people and they require those sales.
