Lab Rats Studio's highly anticipated over-the-shoulder shooter M.U.S.E. has blasted its way onto Apple's New Zealand App Store, meaning you can pump enemies full of lead in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

The Unity-powered shoot-'em-up sees you take on the role of hardened government agent Sid Tripp and attempt to prevent a cyborg army and its maniacal leader Psychosis from taking over the world [insert evil laugh here].

Along the way, you can convert the points you earn from racking up quick kills and big combos into credits, and upgrade your protagonist's health, speed, and other attributes.

Game Center support adds 20 achievements and various leaderboards into the mix.

Added extras

If your Apple device is currently rocking iOS 5 or above, you'll benefit from several nifty features. For example, your save data will automatically be uploaded to iCloud and seamlessly synced between all of your devices.

You'll even be able to play on your high-definition TV using the software's AirPlay functionality. Well, providing you have an Apple TV box, that is.

M.U.S.E. will be available as a Universal app in the UK and US from around midnight tonight. It'll set you back £3.99 / $5.99.
