[Update] Lit the Torch is a striking puzzler which implements a unique mechanic, soft-launched in select countries

Updated 13th January, 12:52 PM: Though there's no word on the worldwide launch, Lit the Torch has soft-launched in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand if you'd like to check it out on your local App Stores.

There are loads of great mobile games getting teased at the moment, and Lit the Torch is definitely one of them.

You guys'll know by now that there are a few things I can't resist: Pinball, beautiful game design, and puzzlers, and oh boy do I get shivers with this one. If you ignore the slight woodenness of the character's movements, Lit the Torch is simple stunning, from its use of contrasting colour to its use of light and dark to make elements more vibrant.

There's very little information surrounding the title at the moment, but its most interesting mechanic is definitely that 'other sight' window you can use. This window brings up another world that you can interact with, creating new platforms and solutions if you find yourself a bit stuck - a bit like a parallel universe.

You can follow the game's Twitter to keep up with any new information, but the game is only advertised as 'coming soon' to iOS. Whether that's 'this month' soon or 'Q1' soon, remains to be seen.
