Just as we wrapped up for the weekend on Friday Noodlecake Games announced it'd be bringing Crunching Koala's Lichtspeer to iOS on March 1st, and that makes me very happy indeed.

If you haven't yet had the pleasure, Lichtspeer is a lightspear-throwing adventure set in an ancient Germanic future (just go with it). Yes, it's as wild as it sounds and plays as good/weird as it looks. This game is frustratingly fast-paced and not for the weak of heart/patience, but it's oh-so-rewarding.

Having played it on the Switch I gave it a deserved Silver Award in its review, saying it was "as fun and addictive as it is utterly bananas." Though its iOS version lacks the two-player function of its Switch counterpart, it'll still offer up a great amount of challenge.

Better yet, despite it being totally worth it at £3.99/$3.99, it's currently 50% off in its pre-order period on the App Store, lasting from now until its launch date in a couple of weeks. That means you can get it for just £1.99/$1.99.

There's no word on its Android release just yet, but we'll let you know the moment we hear a whisper.
