Levelhead, a platformer with deep level-creation tools from the developer of Crashlands, launches for iOS, Android, and Switch next month
Share your platforming creations with the world
Crashlands developer Butterscotch Shenanigans' long-awaited platformer, Levelhead, finally has a firm release date for mobile and Nintendo Switch. We now know to expect it next month, April 30th, which should come as welcome news to fans of great games everywhere.
As an employee of the Levelhead Division, it's your job to programme your delivery bot to deal with any delivery scenario that may arise. You'll do this by creating levels using the game's intricate creation tools.
These allow you to craft levels full of different machines and platforming challenges to then be shared online with other players. It appears that you'll actually have to finish your level in order to share it, though, meaning your own skills need to match what you're asking of others.
At your disposal are programmable switches, deployable enemies, various hazards, weather options, lots of tunes, and more. It sounds like one of the most in-depth level-creation systems yet seen on mobile. The LAUNCH DAY for our award-winning platformer maker Levelhead is... ????APRIL 30th!???? ?????11 languages

And it's not all about serving up hair-tearing nightmare levels, no sir, Levelhead also offers the tools to design more chilled-out scenes for you to sit back and enjoy.
At launch, there will be over 90 developer-created levels to test your mettle on and hopefully take inspiration from. Think of it as a sort of Mario Maker for mobile.
What's more is that every level has its own leaderboard for you to scale, offering up near-limitless challenges to take on if you get hooked. It'll be interesting to see whether creators can amass sizable followings by sharing their creations with the world.
If internet fame doesn't interest you, though, I'm sure you'd like to see your levels' stats, including how many attempts players have made to finish them, overall playtime, etc.
Levelhead also offers cross-platform play, including cross saves, between its various versions. It's set to launch for iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox on April 30th, and if the developer's earlier games are any indication, it won't be one to miss.
You can pre-register to play over on Google Play right now. iOS pre-orders will soon go live.
