Namco drills App Store for matching puzzler Knightfall: Death and Taxes
Life's two guarantees nestled within one game
Of all the big mobile publishers, Namco Networks America seems to come up with the most interesting, odd and downright peculiar combinations of gameplay and genre.
It seems to have a particular obsession with match-three games, which to date has resulted in Tinseltown Dreams' match-three and make movies game, and Lt. Fly Rise of the Arachnids' match-four and shoot the invading spider army game.
To be frank, neither were very successful hybridisations, but both caught the eye in terms of creativity.
It's getting darkNow comes Knightfall: Death and Taxes - a match puzzler that's combined with RPG elements.
You can play either as the knight or the princess, each of whom has different abilities and styles. These enable you to work your way through the available 100 stages. You rotate the game board to enable your character to make and drill their way to each level exit.
Sounds confusing but, if nothing else, the non-gameplay trailer is very pretty.
Knightfall: Death and Taxes is due out soon - sometime next week we think.
