In response to the Watchmen movie, Mark Millar's comic book creation Kick-Ass has received the big screen treatment, and IGN is reporting that iPhone and PSP tie-in games are also on the way.

The story revolves around a handful of ordinary people - inspired by the actions of the eponymous young hero Kick-Ass - who decide to don latex suits and fight crime, despite having no actual super powers.

It all looks like a pretty splendid comedy romp, and promises to feature local Bluetooth and wi-fi multiplayer so you can double-team the bad guys with playable characters Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Big Daddy (the latter regrettably being played by a large plank of wood with a bent nail sticking out of it in the film).

Kick-Ass for iPhone and PSP is expected to be revealed at the Game Developers Conference in a few weeks time. While you're waiting, here's the movie trailer.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
