Update at 7:37pm - Kavinsky is also available on Google Play for the Android faithful in our readership.

Have you ever found yourself mashing buttons whilst listening to the electro-pop of French knob-twiddler Kavinsky, desperately wishing that there was some way of linking the two actions to create a cohesive whole?

Well fret no more, because Kavinsky has just turned up on the App Store. That's Kavinsky the game, not Kavinsky the man. Although Kavinsky the man is in Kavinsky the game. You got that?

The game casts the scrawny synth-master as some sort of vigilante hero, out to punch brawny bald men in the face for reasons that are never explained. The basic strategy seems to involve mashing buttons until one of you falls over though.

There are also flappy driving sections that feel like OutRun without the joy, and bits where the game apparently wants you to take a photo of some pornography.

Kavinsky the man and Kavisnky's car the car can pick up packs of cigarettes and six packs of beer in order to regenerate their health, just like in real life.

There are boss battles to brawl your way through and a variety of tracks from a variety of Kavinsky albums to listen to as you do.

The game is available from the App Store right now for nothing at all, so if you fancy taking a look, you've got nothing to lose. Except your precious time.
