Lots of games are making use of the OpenFeint social gaming network (thousands, in fact) but only the very special are chosen to receive the label OpenFeint Gold.

The spectacular Jet Car Stunts from Australian developer True Axis has prepared a 1.3 update to put some brand new, custom OpenFeint features to use, however, which is currently in submission to Apple.

"We created OpenFeint Gold to recognise incredible, quality games and that’s what the guys at True Axis have created," says OpenFeint's Eros Resmini. "Jet Car Stunts is an amazing, addictive game and players are going to love the new player challenge and downloadable replay features."

Version 1.3 of Jet Car Stunts will deliver the option to send challenges directly to other players, and enable you to download replays from the leaderboards showing how the best of the best made it around the tracks.

"As an independent studio we were really excited when OpenFeint approached us about becoming their next Gold title. We’re really proud of the new version of Jet Car Stunts and can’t wait to see players posting replays on the global leaderboards. We're thankful for OpenFeint's support in helping make this happen,” explains Luke Ryan of True Axis.

The update should be with us very soon, so keep a keen eye on the App Store.

You can also check out OpenFeint Gold games at the dedicated website.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
