It looks like Aspyr Media, the studio that ported PC classics Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy to mobile, is bringing another fan favourite to the App Store.

Jade Empire, the martial arts RPG made by BioWare, before it got completely distracted by Mass Effect and Dragon Age forever and ever, is slated for release on mobile soon.

Our bestest buddies in the whole wide world Touch Arcade say they have been playing the final game for review and it was due to release today, but cosmic weirdness between EA and Aspyr has seen the game be delayed.

"It sounds like there's some complicated things happening behind the scenes, and we're going to need to wait while they fully play out," says TA. The site was given no firm release date for the game.

While we're waiting, you can read the site's preview which mentions that the game has a somewhat-simplified combat system, but all the content from the PC Special Edition that Xbox fans didn't get to play.

Plus: "everything in-game looks spectacular. The interface demonstrates a lot of lessons learned from the Knights of the Old Republic port, deftly balancing the amount of information that needs to be on-screen with the fact that the average screen this will be played on is pretty small".

Aspyr's games typically end up on Google Play too, so Android is likely to get the game also - but nothing has been confirmed. We'll let you know when we hear more.
