How to get to Crackskull Mountain

Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery: Episode 2 walkthrough

Jacob Jones is a small boy with two interesting things on his CV.

For one, he can solve Professor Layton-style puzzles with ease, and knocks down riddles like they're wobbly towers of dominos in a strong breeze. Plus, his best friend is a Bigfoot. So he's got that going for him.

We met Jacob and his Sasquatch pal Biggie in episode one of Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery. In part two, we're on our way to Crackskull mountain. Follow this guide to get there.

This walkthrough will show you how to complete the game. Who to talk to, where to go, and what to do. So we'll only focus on the puzzles you need to solve to finish the adventure - the rest can be found in our puzzle guide.

Jacob Jones

You begin the game on a bus, heading off to a school field day. We start as we mean to go on: with a puzzle. This one is about shifting vehicles so your bus can shoot through traffic.

Jacob Jones

This is the optimum solution for the puzzle. Solve it and you'll be out of traffic and on your way to Camp Eagle Feather. You now need to accept Dwanye and Lafonda's puzzles (see our puzzle guide) before the bus arrives.

Jacob Jones

After the cutscene reintroducing Biggie, head down the path next to the information board, as seen above. Go down to the broken bridge and then spin the camera to the right to find Ms. Truly.

Jacob Jones

She'll give you a puzzle about tents. You can see the correct solution, above. You can put any kid in any tile, but they need to be laid out like this if you want the right answer.

Jacob Jones

Once the tents are up, Deathkill and Dwayne will appear to the side of the gorge. Talk to them to get a new puzzle.

Jacob Jones

The puzzle is all about finding squares in some blueprints of a house. The correct answer is 21.

Jacob Jones

Get it right, and you'll be able to pop over the bridge. On the other side is a shiny object - tap on it to pick up the seven-and-three-quarters Fastenbower clamp. That'll come in handy later.

Jacob Jones

Return to the main part of the nature trail, and then head up the road to Crackskull Mine. Sound ominus. Keep going until you get to Millstone Creek.

Jacob Jones

Keep walking up the path until you see the ghost. Then walk up to the mill and enter it.

Jacob Jones

Talk to Jeremiah Flupp and accept his puzzle.

Jacob Jones

Your task is to rearrange the pictures and put them in chronological order, using the colour of their hair and Jeremiah's damaged pocket as your guide. The correct answer is shown above.

Jacob Jones

Now, go into the backroom and look at the equipment. Jeremiah Glupp will tell you he needs a Fastenbower Clamp which, as it happens, we picked up a little earlier.

Jacob will give it to Glupp, which supercharges the machinery. Now, Biggie will get a long-lasting electric shock.

Jacob Jones

Leave the mill and wander back down the road to the nature trail. But before you leave Millstone Creek, walk up the river to get to a dam with a pair of beavers.

Jacob Jones

Chat to Mrs. Beaver to hear about their predicament. Biggie will then touch Mrs. Beaver, curing their electromagnetic problem and allowing Nora the ghost to travel past the dam.

Jacob Jones

Talk to Jeremiah in the back room of the mill about his dead wife. He'll respond, in kind, by offering you a puzzle.

Jacob Jones

The puzzle sees you pulling threads so that they end on one of the stitches at the center, and so that every grid square is covered. A correct solution is shown above. Finish this puzzle and Jeremiah will…

Jacob Jones

Topple backwards into the machinary and die. Wow, that got a bit dark. He'll go and sit with his wife by her grave, behind the mill. Exit the mill.

Jacob Jones

Look at the river next to the house. You'll need to solve a puzzle to get over to the gravestone. Well, one more couldn't hurt.

Jacob Jones

Here's the solution for this plank-related puzzle. Now head over the river, and see the thorns retract. You can now head up to Crackskull Mountain. Well, one day. You'll have to wait for episode three for that.
