Yes, those are bold words.
Judging from the trailer, though, IRE Blood Rage looks set to deliver the same brutally difficult action of Dark Souls mixed with upgrade and advancement mechanics inspired by Monster Hunter.
The plot sounds like a bit of a cliche. The world has been taken over by a corrupt force and you're the only one who can save it. Blah blah blah.
Who really cares about plot in an action RPG though? As long as we can smash enemies in the face until they can explode we're happy. IRE Blood Rage looks set to offer just that.
The developers are happy to admit (and keen to point out) that "you will die a lot in this game". So if you're feint of heart or Dark Souls wasn't really your thing, perhaps you'll want to give this a miss.
It's MFI controller compatible, requires an internet connection, and headed to iOS soon.
