My goodness, how has another week flown past already? Whether it's just time, a deity, or a tear in the space/time continuum to blame, at least we're back together again to talk about the hotness of these past seven days.

Granted, it wasn't a wild one, but we still saw a few decent mobile games and a number of Switch games arrive in force to make our weekends slightly less boring.

Without further ado, let's check out what the hottest stories have been.

Morphite's Switch release is creeping closer

As I'm sure you know by now, the space-exploring Morphite launched on iOS, PC, and console last week and has been received pretty well. However, the one major thing missing was its Switch version which had to be delayed for an undisclosed period due to a few problems. However, Crescent Moon announced on their Twitter that the game had been re-submitted to Nintendo for evaluation, and let's hope that all comes back with a smiley face and an 'okay-hand' symbol.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar's been delayed

Again, it's another Switch delay story this week as Battle Chasers: Nightwar will only be launching on console and PC next week. According to the team's Kickstarter page, they're waiting on Unity to perform a necessary update. That also means they've got no idea when they'll be able to pinpoint the Switch version's release date. However, they have given you the option to change to another platform if you've backed the project and don't want to wait.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War arrives on time

After originally soft-launching earlier this year, Middle-earth: Shadow of War has finally launched on iOS and Android. Whether you've played the Shadow games or not, this one looks like an interesting strategic RPG so long as it's not suffocated with your F2P tropes... or ends up being pay-to-win rubbish. But, I have faith - sort of.

Modern Combat Versus is finally out

It feels like it's been forever, but the F2P online multiplayer battler has arrived on iOS and Android. I also know that this article was me telling you that it was arriving on September 28th, but that day has come and gone, so we may as well get to the interesting part. With console-quality graphics and pretty fluid-looking combat, I can only hope the game runs as good as it looks.

Shadowgun Legends streams its last War Room

Yes, this week marked the end of MADFINGER Games' routine War Room streams, but we got a couple of interesting things to look forward to in the coming months. During this final episode we got to watch the first live PvP battle and got a glimpse at a brand-new trailer. In the trailer the team revealed cooperative gameplay, and it's just making us more and more excited. Now...if only we could get our hands on the beta...

That's it for this week's Hot Five. It feels like it always goes by too quickly, but alas I'll be here waiting for you as always.

Until next Sunday, folks.
