Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek is a prequel to the stealth horror game

You've probably heard of Hello Neighbor by now, right? Well, did you ever stop and wonder, "What ever happened to make the Neighbor act this way?" In Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek you'll find out when it launches on iOS and Nintendo Switch later this week.

If you've never heard of it, the original game had you breaking into your neighbour's house to solve puzzles and evade capture. In Hide & Seek you'll jump back into the past and discover what tragic series of events occurred to spark his repellent behaviour.

Though there's not much information given about the game, bar playing hide and seek with your brother, dealing with the death of a family member, and a 20-second teaser featuring your wife. It'll be curious to see what direction they decide to go with it and how deep tinyBuild will dive.

As a lover of stories, I'm hoping this might give the original game more meaning by building up character. There's a reason everyone acts the way they do, after all.

You can pre-order the game on the App Store now. It's listed as free to play, but whether that's just for a taster experience like Hello Neighbor will remain to be seen.
