Halo 4: King of the Hill Fuled by Mountain Dew hitting US and UK App Stores tomorrow

Halo 4: King of the Hill Fuled [sic] by Mountain Dew (H4:KOTHFBMD) has just gone live on the New Zealand App Store, meaning it will be available in the US and UK later tonight.

Yes, by the way: that is its actual name.

In this location-based tie-in to Microsoft's flagship Xbox franchise, you play King of the Hill against players in 7-Eleven stores across the country (if your country contains any 7-Eleven stores, that is).

Using augmented reality, you have to scan bottles of Mountain Dew and packets of Doritos to reload.

No: I am not making this up.

You can also win a bunch of Halo 4 prizes, ranging from exclusive themes to a "Locus Helmet". We doubt the helmet will be battleworthy, though, because it'll probably be fashioned from corn chips and filled with green soda.

If you want to join the battle against tasteful product placement, then you can download H4:KOTHFBMD for free tomorrow.

We hope you're hungry. And thirsty. And shameless.
