PSP mini Blast Off lands on App Store

Most of the traffic has gone in the other direction, but with games being ported across as many platforms as developers can manage, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that PSP games are now coming to iPhone.

The latest to do so is Australian developer Halfbrick's Blast Off.

The arcade puzzler has you zooming around to rescue astronauts so you can carry them through the warp gate to safety.

But, of course, as always there's something in the way, which in this case is the interaction between various large planetary bodies and gravity, which without clever use of your thrusters, would see you splatted on one of those cold, cruel rocky surfaces.

In bringing the game to iPhone with new touch controls, Halfbrick has also added a Challenge mode, as well as integration with the OpenFeint social gaming network.

You can get an idea of how it all works in the following video (for the XBLA version)
