Glu cuts the price of in-app purchases in Gun Bros

When a game's free you can't cut its price, but if it's a freemium game, you can change the price of the in-app purchases.

That's what Glu Mobile has done with Gun Bros, when it comes to the purchasing of its in-game currency, Coins and War Bucks.

Dollars and cents

Most of the packages have been cut in price by around 30 percent.

For example, 53,000 Coins used to cost £5.99/$9.99 but now they're down to £3.99/$6.99. It's a similar story with the maximum War Bucks purchase.

However, 5,000 Coins and 5 War Bucks remain at the minimum 99c/59p App Store charge. Obviously Glu can't change that.

Another tweak to the game will come in the next upgrade (v1.2), which will enable players to start earning War Bucks. Previously they have only been available via IAP.
