Florida-based Cyrillian Studios, known best for its analytical stock market apps, is having a break from the boring number crunching with its first number crunching game, Generals.

Generals is a tribute to the classic strategic conquest board game, Risk.

You can wage world wars against friends over wi-fi and 3G, or play against up to five players on the same device with pass-and-play.

The team is convinced it will be the best implementation of Risk-type game on the iPhone, complete with tutorial videos, great graphics and automatic rejoining of online games if you nip out of the app to answer a phonecall.

Generals is set to launch in the coming weeks on iPhone and iPod touch.
