Garena Free Fire's Vengeance Day event has now officially kicked off in-game, though that's not the last of today's announcements. Details have now been shared on upcoming esports content for fans to look forward to, known as the Gigantes tournament.

First things first, Vengeance Day was originally set to be an in-game event for the cancelled Free Fire Champion's Cup 2020 but has since been expanded into its own standalone experience. There are plenty of event-exclusive prizes to earn by taking part, some of which include costumes, loot boxes, and parachute skins.

The event's peak day is planned for July 25th, which is also when the new Grim Reaper game mode will become available. You can check out a brief Vengeance Day teaser trailer below, with the full version expected to land tomorrow.

Fans will know that Garena has recently shifted its esports focus to all-virtual tournaments. The next one on the schedule is the Gigantes tournament for the Latin America and Brazil regions. These digital events will take the place of the FFCC 2020.

The Gigantes tournament will feature the top 6 teams from the Liga Brasileira de Free Fire 2020 and the top 6 teams from the Free Fire League 2020 Group B Sur. They'll battle it out over 6 rounds and 3 maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari. More details are expected to arrive in the weeks to come.

If you're a battle royale fan and haven't yet taken this one for a spin, you'll find Garena Free Fire available for download as a free-to-play game from Google Play and the App Store.
