Okay. So we get the basic premise of N.O.V.A. - something now officially revealed as standing for Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance. Catchy huh?

You play as a space marine defending humanity against an alien attack.

We've done that sort of thing a couple of times before.

The single player game ships with 12 levels and five weapons, including assault rifle, plasma cannon and sniper rifle. Check.

Shoot drone soldiers. Hook up with the marine platoon that's on the other side of the valley. We can do all these things.

Of course we also expect multiplayer and voice chat. All good.

The question of whether the game will stand out from other such titles - console especially - remains unclear however.

Just check out the latest video, which see you fighting off The Covenant baddies aboard the Pillar of Autumn a spaceship.

Remind you of anything?
