iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed

Your App Store needs you

Product: Game of the Week | Manufacturer: Steel Media Ltd

Game of the Week iPhone, thumbnail 1
Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what YOU think.

Every Thursday, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android that week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article on Friday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, answer the poll on Facebook, or put a message in a bottle and lob it into the Atlantic.

The nominations
A Wonderland Story (iPhone, iPad)

A interesting twist on Lewis Carroll's novel, in which you babysit a dopey rabbit and protect it from danger by sliding blocks and avoiding obstacles.

Symphonica (iPhone, iPad)

Square Enix puts monster bashing on the back burner for a kooky little game about conducting an up-and-coming orchestra. Don't worry: there's still a melodramatic story about legends and prophecies and all that.

True Skate (iPhone, iPad)

Jet Car Stunts developer True Axis has tightened up its trucks and glued down its grip tape for a finger-flipping skate sim. But, can it out-trick Touchgrind?

Sonic Jump (iPhone, iPad)

Sonic may be better known for running at the speed of sound, but this Doodle Jump-style game proves he's not bad at bouncing, either. You'll bash in Eggman and leap up platforms in both Story and Arcade modes.

Mikey Shorts Halloween (iPhone, iPad)

More slick platforming fun with Mikey - only this time, you're running, jumping, and sliding through decidedly more spooky levels. The first Mikey Shorts game was great fun, but did you grab this Halloween spin-off?

Fighting Fantasy: Blood of the Zombies (iPhone, iPad, Android)

This is not just another dusty gamebook from the '80s that's been given a new lease of life on iOS. This is an all-new game, penned by Fighting Fantasy legend Ian Livingstone.

Epic Hearts (iPhone, Android)

This action-RPG, from the dev behind The Secret of Chateau de Moreau, mixes classic genre elements - like questing, magic, and swordplay - with a real-time combat system. Looks lovely.

Carmageddon (iPhone, iPad)

Stainless Games is making a full Kickstarter-funded reboot of manslaughter sim Carmageddon on consoles. But, it still found time to port the PC original to iOS. Remember: pedestrians mean points.
