iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|

Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the good from the bad (and the ugly) is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a rather good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what you think.

Today, we're asking you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android this week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, leave a comment on Facebook, or just scream it into the void.

The nominations Borderlands Legends (iPhone, iPad)

A top-down, strategically slanted interpretation of the popular home console franchise. Defend your squad's position against waves of advancing enemies, collecting cash as you go.

Arc Squadron (iPhone, iPad) Psyonix has cooked up this StarFox-inspired sci-fi shooter for your consideration. String attacks together for high scores, and do the occasional barrel roll. Nutty Fluffies (iPhone, iPad)

This time out, the MotoHeroz dev puts us in control of a roller coaster staffed by fluffy toys. Collecting all the hearts while keeping your carriage on the tracks is the key to success here.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (iPhone, iPad, Android)

You know the score: drive a number of licensed cars through cities at ridiculously high speeds, and try not to get caught by the cops. Speed. You need it. Yes, you do.

Madden NFL 13 Social (iPhone, iPad)

Madden goes turn-based in this free-to-play social title. Play against Facebook friends and other iOS players in short bursts or long stints at your convenience. My money's on United. Oh.

Sneezeman (iPhone, iPad)

Help this huge-hootered hero escape the sneeze cloud in this side-scrolling platformer. Run, jump, run, jump, run, and sneeze your way through 60 pepper-packed levels. Aitchoo.

SpinCraft (iPhone, iPad)

Fulfil your true calling as an alien pizza delivery boy in this cute 3D platformer from Bulkypix. Upgrade your flying saucer, and move fast to keep your intergalactic customers happy.

iBomber Attack (iPhone, iPad) Take control of a tank in this top-down military shooter. Roll around Europe over 24 missions and launch a rocket at anyone who forgets to call your 'sir'.
James Gilmour
James Gilmour
James pivoted to video so hard that he permanently damaged his spine, which now doubles as a Cronenbergian mic stand. If the pictures are moving, he's the one to blame.
