Fishlabs unveils massively multiplayer RTS Galaxy on Fire - Alliances
It's big, it's free, and it's coming to iOS and Android
It's time to start brushing up on your intergalactic diplomacy.
Fishlabs has just announced Galaxy on Fire - Alliances: a massively multiplayer online RTS, that's set in the same universe as Galaxy on Fire 2.
The game follows three factions - the Terrans, the Vossk, and the Nivelians - as they fight to claim domination of an uncharted region of the universe, and salvage the area's resources and artefacts.
You'll need tactical know-how, of course, and a knack for resource management, technology research, and intergalactic economics.
If that all sounds a bit tricky, you could always buddy up with other players and work co-operatively.
Alliances will be free to play. Michael Schade, Fishlabs CEO, said, "we're really eager to create a premium-quality F2P title, which includes all the features and characteristics that have made our previous titles so unique."
And it will launch on iOS first - it's currently in a playable alpha state, and is scheduled for release in Q3 2013. After that, an Android port will follow.
If you've never experienced a Galaxy on Fire game yet, you're in luck. Both Galaxy on Fire 2 and Galaxy on Fire 2 HD are currently available for free on iOS.
