[Update] The story-driven space adventure Full of Stars is out now for iPhone and iPad
'Cause you light up the path
Though we saw a playable version of the game in the past it's really come a long way in its final form. From obstacles to upgrades, it's a really neat package which mashes together the narrative fiction and arcade genres rather well.
Grab Full of Stars on the App Store now, free-to-play.
Updated March 28th, 10:51 AM: After passing Apple's review with flying colours, Full of Stars will be coming to iOS on April 13th.
Cast your mind back to the Big Indie Pitch at Gamescom last year and you'll remember its winner, Full of Stars. Well, after months of tittering and wondering, we should be seeing the game on iOS come April.
Full of Stars is a unique adventure game which throws you both arcade-like action and strong choice-related narratives which affects the way the game plays out. Every choice matters, no matter how menial it seems.
You'll play as a daring space captain, guiding a group of survivors to safety whilst you're all smack-bang in the middle of a universe-wide war. It's your job to keep your crew and the refugees calm - the calmer everyone is, the more likely you'll survive. But, once panic sets in and people aboard your ship start to lose faith, it's only a matter of time before things start unravelling.
Each time you play, you'll take up the position of a different captain, but the cool part is that your choices from your previous adventures echo through your current play-through.
We were fortunate enough to check out Full of Stars at Gamescom last year and had a lot of fun working through the first section. Though there's no specific iOS release date within April yet, we'll keep you updated when we know more.
