Freeway Mutant is an endless monster-blasting runner from Butterscotch Shenanigans that's out now on iPad and iPhone

Freeway Mutant is a product of Butterscotch Shenanigans's recent speedcrafting splurge.
The two man dev team behind Quadropus Rampage and Towelfight 2 built a bunch of games in ten hour bursts, recorded the whole thing live on Twitch, and released the outcome, first on the Google Play Store, then on the App Store.
The game is all about weaving through a shattered road, dodging other mutants, avoiding explosive curling disks, and collecting parts to make your gun more powerful.
You control everything with a single finger, dragging left and right to move the toad-headed beast with a blaster.
It's an endless runner with a neat streak of quick-fire violence that might not be the most complex game out there, but serves to scratch a specific arcade itch.
Freeway Mutant is free to download, and while there are adverts, buying upgrades for your gun for 69p / 99c gets rid of them. They're not that annoying though.
If you're looking for a solid, enjoyable arcade blast that might be a little rough around the edges, then Freeway Mutant is definitely worth a gander.
You can grab it from the App Store [download] and the Google Play Store [download], where it's been out for nearly a month, for nowt.
