Fortnite cheats and tips - Everything you need to win as Thanos in Infinity Gauntlet

Alright, who was baffled when they saw Thanos was in Fortnite? That really has to be the most ambitious crossover event since The Flintstones Meet The Jetsons.

Thanos arrives with a brand new mode, Infinity Gauntlet, where the titular glove will crash land into the map and all players will scramble for its power.

We've got some tips here fresh off the presses, and even though Thanos has already been slightly nerfed, he's every bit as powerful as you need him to be. Read on for the power to destroy all life in the universe.

Fortnite

Tight start

When you drop into the Infinity Gauntlet mode the first things you'll notice are that it's a solo only mode, and that you'll see the first circle in place way before you drop, with the storm already closing in.

This means you'll need to be much faster than usual in gathering equipment, and you're less likely than ever to land somewhere quiet, so get ready for firefights and fast.

There do seem to be more weapons strewn about the place though, so you might gain an edge quickly if manage to touch down fast enough.

Fortnite

The Infinity Gauntlet

You'll see the Infinity Gauntlet literally crash down from space, giving everyone in the local area a good view of it. Just like a supply drop though, this makes it a target for anyone nearby.

So you can run for it if you're feeling brave, and the immediate shield and health boost will certainly work in your favour, but if you're a little late you could very well get shot down before you get close.

So then, the other option is to camp it out for yourself, if you're confident you can slay anyone incoming before they have the chance to grab it.

Fortnite

Fighting the beast

Fighting against Thanos is tough. He has big, damaging beams which can wipe out your health, and his jumps can take him well out of your immediate vision and range.

The best solution is to try and not get spotted, basically, and fight him from a distance. Playing on a touch screen is tough, so players will often stop in order to shoot. When Thanos is stood still shooting at someone, riddle him with bullets.

If you have to get close, watch for an incredibly damaging melee attack he has, and keep some distance while using shotguns or other powerful weapons. He'll likely smash through walls etc. quickly.

Fortnite

Being the beast

Being Thanos gives you three key moves, the first is his melee punch, which will do heavy damage to enemies and smash through walls and buildings pretty quickly.

His secondary attack is his long distance beam, which does heavy damage over time, just like an automatic weapon. You can just continually blast enemies with it.

Finally we have his jump which goes crazy high and gives Thanos absurd mobility in comparison to other characters, which is part of what makes him so fearsome. Jump to evade, jump to close in, it's just incredibly versatile.

Fortnite

The champion

Because the circle starts tight, that means it closes in fast, and as you can probably imagine, being Thanos gives you a massive advantage.

The key to victory, then? Well, kill Thanos, and grab the Infinity Gauntlet. If you don't, someone else will, and Thanos is likely to be the victor.

Sure, it's possible to kill Thanos in a 1v1 situation, but the odds aren't stacked in your favour without a rocket launcher or something. Well, good luck, brave warrior!
