Fortnite's version 3.6 update introduces 'The Clinger' grenade and more

Fornite's just had its downtime which means version 3.6 is now up and running on the App Store. With the last update out less than a week ago this isn't a huge one for mobile players, but there's some interesting stuff to take note of.

Don't forget to check out our ultimate guide for all of your mobile Fortnite needs. Tips, tricks, newsies, guides, you name it.

fortnite, the clinger, battle royale

Version 3.6 has three major points to touch on. The first gives you the opportunity to add a fire button to the right side of the screen. This can be enabled and disabled as you see fit in the settings (see 'Use Tap to Fire').

Next up, we've got a new item - The Clinger. Thankfully, it does exactly what it says on the tin. The Clinger is an uncommon grenade which sticks to enemies as well as surfaces. It takes 2.5 seconds from attaching to explode, does 100 player damage and 200 structure damage, and you can grab them in chests, llamas, supply drops, and the usual places.

Finally, when spawning in the holding pen - er - starting area, you'll pop up closer to your squad so you can muck about with them for the handful of seconds you're there. It's not particularly important, but it's a nice thought.

Read up on the full patch notes here. There are a handful of bug fixes and tweaks too, and a bunch of changes for the PC/console versions.
