Fortnite's made over $5 million in its first 10 days

Fortnite is the talk of the town these days. The massive battle royale hit just keeps snowballing in popularity with no end in sight. It’s so huge, in fact, that Epic Games has raked in a little over $5 million USD worldwide now that the game’s added in-app purchases. Still not impressed? Fortnite has only been out on mobile for less than two weeks.

Mobile app data aggregator Sensor Tower has charted the game’s revenue in comparison to Fortnite’s other battle royale competitors that also feature in app purchases. By comparison, Knives Out and Rules of Survival have grossed $355,000 and $135,000 respectively. You can see the whole break down over at Sensor Tower.

It’s worth noting that Fortnite’s biggest competitor, PUBG Mobile, has yet to begin monetizing, so it will be interesting to see what happens when the two go neck and neck. The two games continuously flip back and forth between the first and second spots on the App Store charts.
