Forget the Brakes is one of those games that asks you to do two reasonably simple tasks - but at the same time, turning the whole ordeal into a brilliant, frustrating, addictive mess.

Your job is to help a runaway train get to safety, by sending it down the right tracks and away from danger. Which wouldn't be so bad, if you weren't controlling the front and back carriages independently with a pair of up-down buttons.

Soon, you'll find your train drifting along on parallel lines, and must stop both ends of the locomotive from crashing - at the same time.

Things get especially troublesome when you're controlling ultra-fast bullet trains, and dealing with sections of track that switch out underneath you, bridges you can't drift through, and rocks that fall onto the track.

It can become a crushingly difficult game, but it's so fast to jump back in for another go, and so simple to play, that you'll be raring to give it another shot. And the tracks are randomly created, so you won't get bored. I know I didn't.

The game's out right now on Android for 79p / $1. Expect it on iOS in a week or two.
