Things are not going well in the world of the insects. McFly's girlfriend, the lovely Kath Moth, has been kidnapped by the spider and her gang. So after some intensive training with the praying mantis, it's time to kick some insect butt as McFly goes for revenge.

That's the basis of Hungarian developer Invictus's new iPhone game Fly Fu Pro: a greatly extended version of its previously released free game Fly Fu.

Insecticide

With an art style based on the Dead Fly Art of Magnus Muhr, it mixes up weapons-based beat-'em-up mechanics with role-playing, puzzle, and strategic elements.

You can upgrade your skills with four mini-games, while there's a fairly extensive elemental-based skill system you get to level up through.

All necessary as you take on hordes of ladybirds and beetles - 20 enemy insect species in total, including big bad insect boss fights.

Fly Fu Pro is due for release on iPhone and iPod touch on March 17th.

You can see how it plays in the following video.
