Flashout 2S is, if nothing else, an interesting case study in how free to play games are made.

It's the same game as the lacklustre Flashout 2 but without a cost, meaning the monetisation screws are even tighter.

You can now pay for power-ups before the race, which results in fewer on track (on one stage, 2S has three pick-ups, while Flashout 2 had seven). You'll also pick up fewer coins and get a smaller starting fund.

Most other costs are the same (Flashout 2 already had IAPs, after all), but I'd recommend treating this like a demo, rather than a freebie.

Flashout 2S is a little lifeless, but it's good for a freebie. If you like it, get the premium version for a more balanced experience
