It's the big one. Classic PS1 RPG Final Fantasy VII has just been released on iOS in New Zealand, meaning it will show up in your region at around midnight.

The game is a huge cult classic, about a mercenary who joins a bunch of Eco-terrorists to stop a mega corporation from sapping life out of the planet. And then you put on a dress and go snowboarding and meet a talking dog.

This is based on the PC port from a while back, and includes touchscreen controls and the ability to turn off random encounters and a "max stats" command to become all powerful in a flash.

The game costs £11.99 / $15.99, and it doesn't look like there are any in-app purchases. We'll let you know when it goes live, but it will be available at this URL.
