Eets Munchies is a physics-puzzler that sees you leading a hungry little critter through a series of screen-sized levels, trying to snaffle tasty treats as you do.

There's a delicious cake waiting for you at the end of each challenge. There are also three snacks dotted around the level that you need to gorge on if you want to get the best score.

You're given a set amount of tools to help guide the titular hero to the desserts.

To start with, you just get planks to bridge gaps. Soon enough, though, you get whales that suck you in and fire you out; onions that make you too sad to jump; and chillies that make you so angry you jump farther.

Everything is presented in the same gorgeous art style that made the PC and Xbox versions of the game stand out so much. And there's a rich vein of warm humour running through the game, from the loading screens to the levels themselves.

As well as the large single-player campaign in Eets Munchies, there's a puzzle editor that enables you to create your own challenges and share them with the rest of the world.

The game is brilliantly designed - though there is a challenge to completing every level, you get a great feeling of success when you reach that cake and stuff it down your gullet.

Eets Munchies is out on the App Store right now, and will set you back £1.99 / $2.99. From what I've seen of the game, it's well worth it.
