Despite maintaining an average price of over $5 on its 11 games in the US Top 100 - according to PocketGamer.biz's most recent analysis - EA Mobile has decided to cut the prices on some of its most high profile games.

Need for Speed Undercover's price drops from $6.99 to $4.99.

Wolfenstein RPG - which was only released last week - drops from $4.99 to $2.99.

And even The Sims 3 goes from $9.99 to $6.99.

Ironically, alongside Real Racing, The Sims 3 was the only game to have maintained the maximum price on the App Store.

Rob Murray, CEO of Firemint, Real Racing's developer told us yesterday: "The level of resistance to the $10 price tag has been challenging. I suppose the surprise to me is that more game developers aren't taking a stand and saying, 'No, we believe our game is worth its original price'."

Now it seems as if it's a stand even EA won't take.
