Tracy spent a few days wandering the corridors of Gameloft's Paris studio last week, and was able to get his hands on the mobile giant's hot adaptation of the PlayStation classic Driver, which sounds pretty damn exciting.
"Unlike the free-for-all driving featured in Gangstar: West Coast Hustle, you're compelled to obey traffic laws at risk of infractions. Driving on the wrong side of the road, speeding, or hitting another vehicle arouses the attention of cops who will chase you down," explains Tracy in his full preview.
"While this seriousness promises to keep the game challenging, enough changes appear to have been made to prevent Driver from being as frustratingly difficult as its debut."
Lofty has just put out the official iPhone Driver trailer, so we thought you'd like to check it out for yourselves while we eagerly await the December release.
The soundtrack definitely makes it too funky in here. Open up a window, y'all.
So how much of that trailer footage actually reflects the game experience?

looking forward to this and nice to know they're fixing the insane difficulty of the original

That trailer is the original pre-rendered sequence that was oh-so-popular to use to market games in the day of Driver / the original PS.
None of that is in-game ;)

I think that Gameloft is just playing a little with their new graphics engine (that sucks). Its the exact engine used in Gangstar and they have used it in many other games too. They do make good games but the graphics sucks all the time, they should get a new engine and spend more time in making good games with good graphics. They release like 50 games per month, its to mutch.
