Out at midnight - Dream Revenant lets you explore a dying man's subconscious
With PG First Play video
At midnight tonight, Speedbump Studios will drop its spiritual successor to the disappointing dream:scape on the App Store: Dream Revenant.
You play as Carson Hughs - a man on his deathbed, who explores a mystery that's buried deep in the dreamscape of his subconscious mind. Hopefully it doesn't involve being naked at school or all his teeth falling out.
There's a open world environment to explore, characters to yap to (with a whopping eight minutes of voice acting, says Speedbump), and a narrative to unravel.
Hopefully it's better than the team's last effort. We said "dream:scape weaves a compelling tale, but it’s a real slog to reach the finish. Promising, but ultimately disappointing".
You'll learn a lot more, to be honest, by watching our first play video above. Harry walks you through the game and shows you what you'll expect if you get the game tomorrow.
Dream Revenant is coming to iOS at midnight, and will cost £1.49 / $1.99 for a limited time.
