Dragalia Lost's much-hyped Monster Hunter crossover event and summon showcase are now live for players to sink their teeth into.

Hunting season has kicked into gear and all manner of monsters from another world have started popping up all over the place. It's up to the Prince and the Felyne to stand together and push back against the scaly and/or feathery menace. Thankfully, they'll have the legendary Rathalos, King of the Skies, to help them in what is set to be a battle for the ages.

As far as Dragalia Lost crossover events go, this one makes a fair bit of sense – certainly more so than the Mega Man: Chaos Protocol crossover from last year. Still, they're almost always good fun, even when the connection is really quite tenuous.

The featured showcase adventurers for part 1 of the Primal Crisis event include Hunter Vanessa and Hunter Berserker. As you might expect, there are tons of Monster Hunter-themed in-game rewards to earn and an original story to play through. The big draw for me, though, are the many iconic Monster Hunter weapons up for grabs.

The event is set to run until February 16th at 9:59pm PT. Logging in for 10 days during the event is a great way to earn neat rewards, like a Rathalos Firesword and a 5-star Summon Voucher. It's important to note that there'll be a big event update on February 3rd at 10pm PT.

If you're yet to delve into its monster-filled fantasy world, you'll find Dragalia Lost available for download as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play. Need more convincing? Well, maybe our review from launch will fill you in on what you're missing out on. And remember that the game has come on a fair bit since then; it's now one of the better gacha games on the market.
