Lima Sky ditches perpetual jumping in favour of levels in Doodle Jump Easter Special

Lima Sky obviously didn't buy a calender with all of the money it earned from Doodle Jump.

You see, the US studio has just released the spin-off game Doodle Jump Easter Special. Yes, 'just'.

Better late than never, I guess, eh.

Doodle Jump Easter Special, unlike its Silver Award-winning predecessor Doodle Jump, isn't a perpetual jumping game. In fact, it features 25 different egg-themed stages.

Your aim in each of these levels is to work your way up a variety of moving, disappearing, exploding, and breakable platforms; avoid cute - but deadly - enemies; and nab a colourful chocolate egg.

Jump around

Doodle Jump Easter Special's gameplay may be different from the gameplay of its predecessors, but its controls are pretty much identical.

You know the drill. Tilt your device to move your on-screen character from side to side, and tap on the screen to fire projectiles.

Interested? You can grab Doodle Jump Easter Special as a Universal app for free right this very second.
