6 reasons you should absolutely, definitely play Defend the Cake

Tower Defense has never been so sweet
Product: Defend the Cake | Publisher:  | Format: Android, iPhone, iPad

Defend the Cake iPhone, thumbnail 1
Defend the Cake is a delicious tower defence title set in a land filled with delicious desserts that has been set upon by ants, snails, and other pests with a sweet tooth. Build up toast walls and other defences to help Eggperor Shellemane and his loyal Eggbirds protect their carefully crafted confections.

It’s a charming, hand-drawn take on a classic genre, created by former Blizzard and Riot developers, and it’s just received its biggest content update yet in Version 2.0. If cakes and Segway-riding ants don’t tempt you, here are six other reasons you should be playing Defend the Cake.

You are the ultimate pathfinder

In each level, you choose where the cake will be placed, meaning you also have control over the path your enemies will take through your defences.

You have all the time in the world to build up your defences

In many tower defence games, you have to establish your defences while enemies are invading, or in a short block of time before the attack begins. In Defend the Cake, you have a lot more breathing room. The game is divided into Day and Night cycles, and you have the entire Day to plot out your towers for the nighttime attack.

You get access to unique powerup abilities

Each tower you place has its own unique powerup ability which you can deploy at anytime. When you use these powerful abilities at key moments, you can stop the bugs in their tracks and save the day.

There are over a dozen unique enemies

You’ll face off against 19 different enemy types that all have their own diverse strengths and weaknesses. Put on your thinking cap, because you’re going to have to get creative with your strategies here.

Each level is unique

In Defend the Cake, each level is a unique puzzle for you to solve. You won’t be seeing any repetitive gameplay here, making for a challenging, satisfying strategic experience.

The game is completely ad-free

This is a premium experience, meaning the game is completely ad-free. There are no pay-to-win shenanigans or banner ads to disrupt the fun.

Now’s the perfect time to dive into Defend the Cake. The game’s just released its version 2.0 update, too, so expect to find even more sweet treats within. Defend the Cake is available now on iOS and Android.
