Top-down racer Death Rally hits iPhone and iPad March 31

Car combat game Death Rally will roll onto iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad this Thursday, March 31 according to the game's official Twitter feed.

The slick-looking vehicular action fest gives Remedy Entertainment's first game series an overhaul courtesy of developers Mountain Sheep and Cornfox & Bros.

While light on content, Death Rally promises to deliver hard-hitting action that combines racing and gunplay. As you zip through a handful of courses against other players, your armoured ride automatically fires on any competitor within range.

Multiplayer won't be offered in the initial release; instead, Remedy pledges an update with Game Center multiplayer at a later date. Vehicle upgrades and new rides are expected to keep you playing until that update hits.
