Dead by Daylight is the premier asymmetrical multiplayer game, and if you've never played it before, there's no better time and place than on mobile devices. You can jump in for free and play as much as you want, with microtransactions reserved for extra characters (which you can potentially earn in-game) and skins etc.

We're all getting sick of being stuck inside and sitting around, so Dead by Daylight is perfect to get the blood pumping and have you running around a bit. Only it might be a bit less fun and lighthearted than your usual jog around the park.

In this guide, we're going to give you some important tips on surviving as, well, one of the survivors in Dead by Daylight. The killer will be hounding you relentlessly, so you'll have to play smart and work with your friends to come out on top.

Just follow our tips below for everything you need to know to win as a survivor.

1
Graphical edge

One of the most important things to do in Dead by Daylight as a survivor is repair and power generators. To do this you need to complete fairly simple QTEs, but the bad news is that older phones will struggle.

Unless you're running the game at 60FPS, this action is disastrously difficult, and you can be more of a hindrance than a help to your team if you can't complete the actions accurately. So adjust your graphics settings to try and maintain a stable, high, framerate.

So, keep attempting to repair generators, and if you see the killer coming run, lose them, and then go back to repairing any nearby generator. Generators do not lose how much you repair them when you run, and you can return, or friends can, at any time.

2
Coming equipped

When you enter the game you can load up your character with perks and equipment. Perks are permanent passive buffs that you can equip to your characters once you've levelled them up, and you should always use the best perks available.

Your equipment, meanwhile, is limited use, and will have to be purchased before use. Basically, if you want to take in items to help your fight against the killer, you'll need to be careful and choose wisely, in addition to wasting nothing.

Items can make it far easier to escape and win the game, but their limited uses make them a risky venture.

3
Saving your friends

Okay so you're not all that likely to actually be playing this game with your friends, but you should still be sure to take good care of your team mates in the game.

Basically, even if they are useless, can't repair generators, or don't help you, they make for good distractions. It's as simple as that.

The more time the killer spends chasing your team mates, the more time you have to repair generators, heal up, and open the gate to exit.

4
Hide and seek

The bottom line in this game is staying away from the killer. You can do this by moving slowly and stealthing your way through the stage, but honestly, running is probably a better option. Staying mobile is important.

While you can't see the killer, you should be making sure to repair those generators, and constantly using your team mates as, well, decoys so you can get everything done in order to escape.

If the killer is hot on your tail, you need to jump over waist-high walls which the killer can't pass, or jump out of the second floor of buildings where the killer can't follow. These distractions and obstacles will help you get as far away from the killer as possible.
