Good news for iPhone gamers in 2010. It seems like free is going to be the new 99c when it comes to App Store prices.
Of course, games won't be strictly free but as demonstrated by Cyber Circuit, the new release from Complex Games, giving away some levels for free and then providing people with the opportunity to buy additional content certainly looks like being a popular approach.
In the case of Cyber Circuit, the free version gives you six levels of topdown space shoot-'em action, while paying $1.99 (€1.59 or £1.19) will get you another 24 levels set across four themed environments.
The game uses a twin stick control system with a left virtual D-pad to move and a right fire button.
As you get further into the game, your ship and weapons upgrade - useful as you'll come into contact with a boss at the end of each of the five worlds. Social networking is provided by the OpenFeint platform.
You can see what it's all about in the following video.
