Peter Molyneux's Curiosity going live on iOS and Android on November 7th

Peter Molyneux's studio, 22Cans, has revealed that its experimental box-chipping game Curiosity will be available to download on iOS and Android from November 7th.

In this mysterious first title from Molyneux's mobile-focused startup, players tap away at a virtual box in the hope of being the first person to break the surface and discover what is inside.

Said to contain an in-app purchase that costs £50,000, the game was originally devised as a social media experiment, with the developer hoping to track news of the secret prize's eventual discovery to see how people use Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Though Curiosity was finally submitted to Apple for approval at the beginning of the month, we've heard nothing from Molyneux's team over the following weeks, leading us to speculate that the game was encountering resistance from The Big A on its journey to the App Store.

However, as of this afternoon, Curiosity has been given the green light, and will be downloadable from the App Store and Google Play for free next Wednesday at 00:22am PST (I see what Molyneux did there).
