In-app purchases added to mix, too

Watch players shatter cubelets in real time after latest Curiosity update

Peter Molyneux and his 22Cans buddies have just updated their mobile social experiment Curiosity with several new features, including in-app purchases.

For starters, you can now watch other fast-fingered players from around the world shatter cubelets in real time. This is a feature that should have been present from the get-go, really, mind.

Anyway, if you're feeling a little flush, you can now unlock four unique 69p / 99c upgrades via in-app purchases.

The first of these new upgrades is a power-up called Badger, which allows you to drop small groups of little cubelet-smashing black and white blighters onto the cube's surface.

There's also a Golden Badger power-up, but it's fairly similar to the vanilla Badger. You just earn more coins every time a critter takes out some cubelets.

The other two upgrades are called Draw and Statistics Plus. The former allows you to purchase paint and create masterpieces on the cube's surface, whereas the latter gives you access to "deep statistics" for a 24-hour period.

You could save yourself a few pennies, though, by grabbing a bundle that features Badger, Golden Badger, and Draw for £1.49 / $1.99.
