If there are known knowns, known unknowns and unknown unknowns about the iPhone App Store, then Cro-Mag Rally is definitely one of the known knowns.

The game was one of the few iPhone titles to be shown off publicly before the App Store launched. Made by Pangea Software, it's a 3D kart racer set in the Stone Age (plus the Bronze and Iron Ages for good measure).

It's made it out on launch day, anyway, offering nine tracks, 11 vehicles and nine different power-ups with which to smite your rivals - including Bone Bombs, Chinese Bottle Rockets and Heat Seeking Homing Pigeons.

As you can probably tell, this game's got a sense of humour. Vehicles include the Geode Cruiser, Bone Buggy, Logmobile and Trojan Horse.

It looks lovely, as you can see from the screenshots. The game is out now for £5.99 - check out its product page here (if you have iTunes).
