Creature Battle Lab is an upcoming iPad and iPhone game that mixes monstrous gene-splicing with arena scraps
For science
Dojo Arcade has released some info about its upcoming gene-splicing, monster-building scrapper Creature Battle Lab, and it looks pretty interesting.
The game is all about building a team of beasts and then unleashing them in one of the game's arenas.
Imagine the cuteness of Pokémon mixed with the hideous genetic abominations of The Island of Doctor Moreau. Sort of.
There are a huge numbers of customisation options for the battling monsters you're building, with special moves designed to reflect your play style.
Your ultimate aim is to work your way through the monster-battling leagues, eventually being crowned the greatest gene-splicer of them all. So that's something to aim for.
We don't know much more about the game at the moment. It's headed to iPhone and iPad sometime in the autumn, and when it does land it'll be free-to-play.
There are some screenshots in the gallery at the top of the page that should give you an idea of what the game's going to look like, but neither they nor the trailer above show off any of the monstrous monster possibilities.
We're going to be keeping a close eye on Creature Battle Lab as it moves closer to release time, and rest assured as soon as we find anything else out about it we'll let you know.
