Laserdisc coin-op classic Cobra Command has been going down as storm on the App Store, having been an Apple feature game recently.
This unique adaptation of the laserdisc coin-op features completely remastered video and all new touchscreen and accelerometer controls, but these arcade games were always a bit different when it came to blending gameplay with full motion video.
So developer Revolutionary Concepts has put together a bit of a Cobra Command flight school to help ease you into the cockpit. The hints and tips walks you through the settings to get the game set up and explain about the on-screen symbols and HUD.
The controls are broken down so you know when to touch and when to tilt, and the weapons system gets a full and easy tutorial. Cobra Command does take some thinking about when it comes to mastering the unusual gameplay techniques, but it's well worth some serious perseverance to uncover the intense, invigorating experience the game offers.
