This one takes the crown for the best game of June. It's a solo card crawl that sees you heading into a series of dungeons, dingy cities, and other awful places in order to kill everything that moves before it kills you.

It's really deep, there are loads of characters to pick from and upgrade, and some brilliant ideas that keep the fun flowing. If you only pick up on board game that came out in June, you really should make sure it's this one.

The sort of game that shouldn't be as good as it is. It's all about small moves in a card-based dungeon. You need to watch your HP, take out enemies, and grab as much loot as you can. Oh, and you're a mouse, which is pretty cool.

There are loads of different modes and characters to get to grips with, and the simplicity of the core mechanic means it's easy to jump in and play a few games. Just be warned, those few games could easily turn into a huge session.

A far more traditional board game experience. It's all about being a merchant in Istanbul, trying to sell your wares and gain rubies quicker than all of the other players on the board. It's definitely not one for the faint of heart.

There's a lot to learn here, and if you're not in the mood for rules and confusion it's probably worth giving this one a miss. If that's the sort of thing you love though, there's so much here to keep you going you might not have to buy another board game in July.

This one's a mix between Connect Four and a strategy game. That might sound impossible, but once you get your head around the simple rules you're going to find something really rather special lurking just beyond.

The big twist is that your opponent gives you the pieces you can play. This is the sort of game that's definitely going to put your brain into gear, and if the cogs click in just right you're going to love every second you spend with it.
