Gun Media has announced that Breach & Clear, the upcoming tactical shooter from ex-Call of Duty dev Robert Bowling, will blast onto the App Store this Thursday.

In Breach & Clear, you're put in charge of a crack special ops fire-team that's tasked with taking out terrorist threats around the world.

Your soldiers may be some of the best around, but they still won't last very long if they're sent into battle unprepared or equipped with the wrong gear.

Before each mission, you must devise winning combat strategies and ensure that each member of your squad has the perfect weapon loadout for the task ahead.

As you probably already know, Breach & Clear was originally going to be a free-to-play title, but Bowling turned his back on the F2P model late last month.

According to Bowling, the freemium business model kept getting in the way of all the gameplay mechanics.

"Our focus is entirely on gameplay and as we got further into development, we kept having to make tough choices between gameplay and free-to-play," Bowling said.

So, Breach & Clear will set you back £1.49 / $1.99 for a limited time. It'll be £2.49 / $3.99 thereafter.
